José “Cha Cha” Jiménez, a prominent civil rights and liberation movement figure and founder of the Young Lords in Chicago and co-founder of the Rainbow Coalition has died. He was 76.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Former West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Thomas E. McHugh died Tuesday, the court announced in a news release. He was 88.

MONTREAL — Actress Kim Yaroshevskaya, who brightened the lives of generations of Quebec children, has died at the age of 101. She was born in Moscow and arrived in Montreal at age 10 before embarking on a long career on both stage and screen.

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — Sam Moore, the surviving half and higher voice of the 1960s duo Sam & Dave that was known for such definitive hits of the era as “Soul Man” and “Hold On, I'm Comin,’” has died. He was 89.
