OLDS – Brent Williams, the chief administrative officer (CAO) of the Town of Olds, has received a Long Service Recognition Award for 10 years of service in municipal management.

The award was issued by the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) and announced during the Olds council’s June 9 meeting.

The award is based on the duration of full-time, paid employment in municipal government, specifically in management roles such as Williams’ role as CAO.

“This year, it is our privilege to acknowledge the commitment of your chief administrative officer, Brent Williams, for his remarkable 10 years of service in municipal government management roles,” CAMA president Tony Kulbisky wrote in a letter to Town of Olds Mayor Judy Dahl.

“Brent's dedication to his role has undoubtedly contributed to the advancement of your municipality, and we are pleased to recognize his achievements,” Kulbisky added.

“We wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to city council for their unwavering support of Brent as a valued member of CAMA.”

In recognition of the award, members of Olds council gathered for a photo with Williams in council chambers.
