OLDS – The Town is reminding residents that as of July 21, its administrative office will be relocated in its Operations Centre on 70th Avenue, just north of the Rotary Athletic Park.
The move became necessary when the Town sold its current administration office to Westview Co-op last November.
As a result of the move, there are several dates to keep in mind.
The last day that the current town office, near Boston Pizza, will be open is July 4.
The next day, July 5, that office will be closed to facilitate the move to the Operations Centre.
“Phones and email will remain open during the closure,” a Town news release says.
On July 21, the administrative office will be open in its new location.
Also as a result of the move, there will be some changes to town council meetings.
The July 7 committee of the whole meeting and the July 14 town council meetings will not be livestreamed or recorded.
“Residents are welcome to attend in person at the current town office,” the news release says.
The July 14 council meeting will be the last one held until Aug. 25 as council breaks for the summer.
The Aug. 25 meeting will be held in the new location, the Operations Centre. From then on, council meetings will be livestreamed again.
