Communities throughout the region are celebrating Canada Day with residents coming out to enjoy plenty of family friendly activities.
Events that were organized from Sundre and Olds to Innisfail and Bowden, and many other places in between to recognize the 158th anniversary of Confederation included traditional formal ceremonies such as raising the flag and singing the national anthem as well as barbecues and games.
And although some fireworks displays were planned for last night, others are scheduled later at dusk, weather pending.
