OLDS – Effective July 1, Dalin Bullock will be the new vice-president academic for the Olds College of Agriculture & technology.
Bullock has served as Interim vice-president academic for the past nine months.
“Bullock is well-known across the campus community for his commitment to student success, program innovation and responsible, responsive education,” an Olds College news release says.
Bullock joined Olds College in 2004 and has more than 20 years of experience in post-secondary leadership.
Before accepting the vice-president academic position, Bullock was dean of the school of life science and business for eight years.
During his career at Olds College he also served as an instructor and program coordinator, business programs; interim vice-president, student and support services; interim associate vice-president, student services; dean of the school of agriculture; and manager of continuing education.
“I’m honoured to be named the vice-president, academic at Olds College,” Bullock is quoted as saying in the news release.
“Learners are at the heart of Olds College and their experience defines who we are as a post-secondary institution.
“We will continue to strive for academic excellence, develop a leading-edge curriculum to support our current and future students, and enhance all learning experiences on campus and in the classroom.
“I’m excited to continue working closely with our incredible faculty that are passionate about their field of study and care deeply about students.”
Olds College president and CEO Debbie Thompson is quoted as saying in the release, “We are excited to officially welcome Dalin as the vice-president, academic.
“We are extremely fortunate to have a leadership team focused on our priorities of purposeful leadership in agricultural education, supporting our students and people, and strengthening partnerships.
“Dalin’s passion for student success and his dedication to faculty and staff will help drive the college forward as we implement our strategic plan and continue to position Olds College as a leader in agriculture and technology education.”
