Another blast of wintry weather hit parts of Ontario on Tuesday, resulting in multiple collisions during the morning commute and snowfall warnings in some areas.

Provincial police urged drivers to slow down after multiple reported crashes across the province.

In Toronto, weather-related collisions included a six-vehicle crash on the southbound Don Valley Parkway that forced the closure of several lanes early Tuesday morning.

Police said one minor injury was reported as a result of that crash, and all lanes of the parkway have since reopened.

While Environment Canada's weather advisories for Toronto and parts of southwestern Ontario ended by Tuesday afternoon, a snowfall warning was still in effect for areas in and around Ottawa.

Meanwhile, just over 32,000 Hydro One customers still didn't have power as of Tuesday afternoon, more than a week after an ice storm tore through central and eastern parts of the province.

Among the hardest hit communities were those surrounding Orillia and Peterborough. In the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan, a 78-year-old man died on Monday when a tree fell on him during ice storm cleanup, provincial police said.

Hydro One said more than 4,800 crews were working to restore service, with favourable weather in the forecast. The utility's website also said crews had identified more than 2,300 broken poles in the affected areas.

The March 30 ice storm saw more than a million homes and businesses in Ontario experience power outages. The following days brought strong winds and heavy rain, which affected crews' ability to do restoration work.
