Colin William Campkin, beloved husband of Anita, passed away at their home in Creston, BC, on February 4, 2025, following a brief illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, son Greg (Denica Crosbie)and daughter Melissa (Ron Caplett). Colin is also survived by eight grandchildren; Ashley Rawluk (Mike), Alyssa Campkin (Isac Dahlman), Autumn Huseby (Brandon), Alana Campkin (Ivan Dahlman) Taylor Campkin (Shay Walls), Greg’s children and all residing in Alberta and Melissa’s children Dylan Caplett, Dustin Caplett and Tory Caplett, residents of the USA. There are seven great grandchildren Eli, Isla, Clyde, Lila, Lennon, Jude and Houston, Brothers-in-law Armand Koenig, Steve Koenig (Diane), Jim Koenig, Alex Gibson,Sisters-in-law Pat Campkin, Helen Koenig as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Angelina, siblings Roberta, Faye (Tom Nicholson), Doug, Sam and Linda as well as his in-laws Andy and Margaret Koenig, Doreen (Gary Barnes), Darlene Gibson, Albert Koenig and one great grandson Colt Campkin.
A Celebration of Life will be held June 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sundre Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
