OLDS — On May 12, a public hearing will be held at 1 p.m. in the Town of Olds' council chambers for a proposed bylaw to change the zoning of two lots in East Olds.
The lots, acquired from Habitat For Humanity, are currently zoned general residential R2. The bylaw, if passed, would rezone them to R3, medium density residential.
When the matter came up for discussion April 14, council was told that that redesignation fits with the East Olds Area Redevelopment Plan.
Council members were also told that there are currently no plans to develop those lots.
Council also gave first reading to the bylaw, thereby setting the stage for the public hearing.
