1959 – 2024
It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of Robert ‘Bob’ William Blanchard on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the age of 64 years.
He will be truly missed by so many. He was the beloved father of Alicia Blanchard, partner of Benita Jaspar and brother of Audrey Densham. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law, Mel, his nephew, Ryan (Sophie), his nephew, Christopher (Alicia), his great nieces and nephew, Stella, James, Brielle and Kyra, his ex-wife Maureen, her daughter Tara and an extended family of aunts and cousins.
Bob was born on October 9, 1959 in Calgary, Alberta. He enjoyed a successful career as an electrician and a respected tradesman eventually creating his own electrical business. Bob held a lifelong dream of buying a farm, and this dream materialized in 1999 - a beautiful fourteen acre location northwest of Calgary. Bob loved his country life, developing a wide network of friends and neighbours, never hesitating to offer a helping hand whenever needed. Aside from his loved ones, nothing brought more joy to Bob than working on his farm. Be at peace our beautiful father, brother, uncle, partner and friend.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at Heartland Funeral Services, 5226 – 46 Street, Olds, Alberta on Saturday, September 14, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Refreshments and lunch will be provided and friends and family remembrances will be offered at approximately 2:00 p.m.
